Beatsonic Sigma Amplifier for Premium Sound system (1 Viewer)

A similar video walkthrough upgrading the speakers on the LC250

Did the OEM speakers you pulled out of your GX look as cheap as the ones in the video?

I watched the video on Beatsonics' website. I see you can add a powered sub via the outputs on the unit above, which would be great to get the added base this system lacks. Fitting a sub under the passenger seat like maringx550 mentioned would be ideal. What would it take to fit 2 or 4 more speakers in the truck? Another separate amp? I'd really like to have 2 more speakers in the middle of the rear doors where the ML system has speakers. I'd also like to have full-range speakers in the rear cargo area in or near the D-pillars if possible.

I installed mine yesterday. I have a strange issue....

You know the piped in fake engine sound? Well, it seems exaggerated now, like WAY more, and it's sporadic. It sort of comes and goes and isn't related to engine rpm. It's so loud at times that I thought I had a mechanical issue....it was like tire hum, but really bad tire hum! Another example: You know when you have a tight ratchet strap start to vibrate/hum in the wind? Just like that...and its coming from the speakers/a speaker (I haven't isolated which speaker(s) yet).

I did some troubleshooting today and disconnected the BeatSonic amp and reconnected the factory amp. The sound vanished. I then reconnected the beats sonic amp and the sound is back. The sound comes on in any driving mode and with the radio on or off. I'm not sure if there's an error with the BeatSonic amp or some sort of interference. I'll reach out to the vendor tomorrow to see what they think.

On another note, is there a way to turn off the fake engine sound? If it's to one speaker, which one is it? I was thinking of disconnecting that speaker to narrow it down.

Stock speakers are fairly impressive, by the way. Haven’t pushed them to the limit yet, but plenty of volume and very clear at 35. Have had some cars with fairly high end systems (e.g.,B&W) and this system is very comparable IMO with just the amp upgrade. Would still like a little more punch on the low end, by this thing really helps there too. Definitely going to put off getting a subwoofer for a bit while I play with the settings.
100% No complaints

UPDATE:

I ordered the Carista dongle and turned off the noise canceling and fake engine noise and the humming noise vanished. I am fairly certain the issue was with noise cancelation, but will toggle on/off that and fake engine noise to figure it out, just for dorks sake.

Now I can finally enjoy the increase output of the amp. Sounds great! I'm super happy with the amp!

Now it's time to add a JL Audio sub box I have and see how that works out...

Did you have to readjust your bass, mid and tremble after installing the amp? How do you have yours set - mind posting a pic of your setting? I am awful at getting those set correctly, too many years flying helo's LOL.

Did the amp come with the foam padding w/adhesive for underneath?
No, it came with velcro, which you don't need. I zip tied mine under the seat, I bought some 24" zip ties, Really any size would work just daisy chaining them together to get the length needed.

That's what I did too. I think the velcro option wouldn't hold up to rear seat passengers moving their feet and hitting it.

I also pulled the stock fabric over the amp to further protect it and the wiring from feet...
