Beatsonic Sigma Amplifier for Premium Sound system (1 Viewer)

It has double the number of channels at 8 channels and it is upgrading a Class D stock amp.

I think this was developed to enhance the stock speakers and not intended to power all aftermarket speakers. It will probably power new speakers, but not as well as it would if you were trying to upgrade the entire system with a new amp.
Says it’s a Class A/B amp in the specs, I doubt the factory is a class D but I could be wrong

This amp in the way it sounds has moments where it sounds strange

(5) Front tweeter and door gain …. This I get I think

The front door gain (8)

Is this amp just bridging power to the front tweeter and door speakers?

Just got done installing the Beatsonic upgrade. Fairly easy install except if you have large hands. It was hard for me to get the harness plug removed from the factory amp. I had to make a tool in order to pull back the release tab. Once that was accomplished it's just a matter of feeding the harness wiring above the carpet to where you want to fasten the amp. You have to remove the 2 front 50 T bolts and loosen the 2 rear bolts in order to tilt driver's seat back in order to get to the factory amp.
The video shows the Beatsonic secured with zip ties to the bottom of the seat. I used the Velcro that came with the kit and mounted it under the seat on the carpet. It's a little farther back than I would like in case the seat is moved all the way back. It stays really secure as I had to pull it up to do some tuning. That was another reason I used the Velcro mount. It was tough to pull it off.
It sounded great right out of the box and even better after I did some tuning. The sound is a huge upgrade. Robust bass and more clarity.
All in all I feel it was well worth the $800. It sounds better than the ML system and an easy install. It sounds much better than my wife's Genesis with their premium system.

With the RCA preout, I assume that allows you wire directly to an amp for a sub without having to use a LOC? Is there a remote turn on wire as well? Of course it's out of stock now that I have my GX and looking to purchase.

do you think you need to install a sub with the amp upgrade? I’m considering both, but wondering if the amp improves the overall base enough. It’s definitely lacking in the stock configuration.

I'm quite happy with the bass now. But I'm also not a window-rattling bass kind of guy. I'd rather have full cargo space than have a box permanently mounted back there.

I'm also going to crank my gains all the way up - I put them at about 3/4 but all reports say that the stock speakers can handle gains all the way up.

I do not think a separate sub is needed.

I had my gains all the up from the beginning, works great.
